Our natural slating process is highly thorough. We remove all existing tiles, inspect the underlying rafter timbers for signs of decay, install a high-performance breathable roof membrane, fix pressure-treated structural timber battens, and hand-nail each slate tile using copper or stainless steel nails. This double-lap system ensures a watertight shield against heavy rainfall and gale-force winds.
